Disclosure: I received the opportunity to taste these salads FREE of charge. I did not receive monetary compensation for this review. The giveaway cards was given to me not for my review but a way to allow more people to taste these salads. In no way is my review influenced by Chick-fil-A.
Last Saturday, we gathered couples to experience a date at Chic-Fil-A. Yes, I know you are saying “Chick-Fil-A” for a date location. Hey, you know I am all about the quality time no matter where it is and trust me you can have a nice date at Chick-Fil-A.
Chick-Fil-A #FreshMade
I was contacted by a representative for Chick-fil-A about hosting a day party at one of Memphis locations to introduce my audience to Chick-Fil-A new salads. So you know I was excited to participate & invite other couples to experience the new salads plus have some quality time with their spouse but also fellowship with other couples.
So I invited 3 couples plus my mom (she would have been mad if she didn’t get a chance to participate in a Chick-Fil-A event LOL). When we arrived the store manager, Emily, greeted us with a big smile and warmth. She was excited to have SDMS and the couples at her location.
I knew we would be sampling the new salads but I didn’t know they would set it up as a “party.” She had our names on place cards & a nicely decorated table. I was truly impressed and I knew then that the couples would truly enjoy & appreciate all the effort Chick-Fil-A was putting into our couples date day!
The reason we were invited was to taste test Chick-Fil-A new salads: Grilled Market, Cobb, and Asian Salad plus all the new salad dressings that was designed to compliment these new Fresh Made salads. Per Emily, Chick-Fil-A is listening to their customers and the customers wanted more healthy choices so here we go with the new salads.
Fresh Made Salads
So, as all the couples arrived and settled in, Emily began to tell us how what we can expect. Emily told us that Chick-Fil-A has three new salads and she described all three & then told us we would TRY ALL THREE. Well, not only did I think we would only get a sample of all three of the salads the other couples did as well. To our surprise and amazement, we got full size salads to taste of all three new salads. Yes, FULL SIZE! We would were able to decide the order of the salads we wanted to taste because regardless we were going to try all of them and take what we didn’t eat home! Yes, we all were happy!
Chick-Fil-A Grilled Market Salad:
This salad has grilled chicken, romaine & baby greens, red cabbage, carrots, fresh green & red apples, strawberries, and blueberries, crumbled blue cheese. You are also given a small package of harvest nut granola and roasted nut blend that you can sprinkle over this salad. The suggested salad dressing is: Zesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette.
This salad is good. I don’t eat blue cheese but the portion of blue cheese crumbles was not overpowering. Everything is rightly portioned to work together. All the couples was pleasantly surprised, especially those that don’t eat “FRUIT” on their salads. The fruit worked well in this salad along with the apple cider vinaigrette. Yes apple cider…trust me on this one you will want to try it with the suggested salad dressing.
Chick-Fil-A Cobb Salad
This salad has sliced fried Chick-Fil-A chicken nuggets, chopped romaine lettuce & baby greens, shredded red cabbage, carrots, corn kernels, roasted tomato and crispy red bell peppers, crumbled bacon, hard-boiled eggs, shredded Monterey jack & cheddar cheese, grape tomatoes. The suggested salad dressing is: Avocado Ranch.
What can I say about this salad besides it is DELICIOUS! Everything compliments each other but let me tell you about this new salad dressing. I DO NOT eat Avocados. So well, I thought I didn’t because that day I tasted and enjoyed the new salad dressing. Yeah, for those that turn their nose up at the thought of eating avocados, trust me when I tell you that you really need to give this one a try. My mom was truly impressed & couldn’t stop eating this salad and dressing.
Chick-Fil-A Asian Salad
This salad has fried Chick-Fil-A nuggets, chopped romaine lettuce & baby greens, red cabbage, carrots, mandarin oranges, honey-thai almonds, Chinese garlic & ginger wontons. The suggested salad dressing is: New Honey Sesame dressing.
This salad is good. This salad to me is a lot lighter than the other two. The dressing worked well with the salad. The oranges was tasty. I just couldn’t get into this one seem like it was missing something; however, it is a good light salad. If you would like a salad that wouldn’t make you feel to full then this one is it.
All in all these salads are a great addition to Chick-Fil-A menu. The timing of adding these is spot on. Its summer time & most are looking for healthier food choices. You can add items to these salads or even ask for certain items not to be put on the salads. Remember these salads are FRESHLY MADE daily so your salad will be made once you order it!
Chick-Fil-A backstage tour
Not only was we given the opportunity to taste test their new salads but Emily gave us a backstage tour of the kitchen & how things are made at Chick-Fil-A. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that all of their food is FRESHly Made! The chicken are fileted every morning, the biscuits are made fresh every morning. Here in Memphis, the local locations get their fruits and vegetables fresh from local farmers. And we got the secret ingredients to their infamous lemonade. Since I love my SDMS family, I will share the secret ingredients with you as long as you don’t tell anyone! Do you promise not to tell? Ok since you promise. The secret ingredients are: lemons, water, and sugar! LOL
Overall, everyone had a great time. I used this opportunity to share with the couples that spending quality time/dating each other doesn’t have to be a big production nor can not having a babysitter be an excuse. I had several of the couples to bring their children. Chick-fil-A has a play area for the kids and where we were sitting was perfect for the kids to play and the parents can sit and talk and watch the kids at the same time. So there is ABSOLUTELY no reason not to have time to talk, laugh, and enjoy each other!
So as we were wrapping up & everyone was preparing to leave, Emily surprised us again. We were given a 3 month gift card that will allow everyone in attendance an opportunity to enjoy each of the salads again. The gift card is good for one salad in May, June and July.
I was blessed with 5 to give out to my readers. So I am so excited to share these cards with my local Memphis readers. So to get one of these cards, you must leave a comment below about which salad you & your spouse would love to try on your date at Chick-Fil-A. This giveaway will be open from June 2-June 15. I will give away two via blog comments & the other three I will randomly give to couples that I see out about town.
I just want to thank Chick-Fil-A and Emily at the Union Ave. location for the great hospitality and allowing Still Dating My Spouse to be taste testers & local ambassadors to share with others about these great new salads.

There is no Chick-fil-a here in Canada but I’ve heard a lot about it. I’d like to try it sometime. Those salads look yummy.
