It’s Friday evening, we are looking at each other too tired to even think about going out. I know you understand that look & been there yourself a time or two. Too tired to date your spouse!
Listen, life was brutal this week. The hubby was on the road 4 out of 7 days this week. I encountered challenges every where I turned.
Honestly, all I wanted to do was take my bra off, recline in my recliner & drink a bottle of wine.
There are times when we opt not to have a date outside the house. We know our limits. If our minds and bodies are not into engaging with the outside world, we stay in.
Date night for us look like & feel how we design it.
I knew I wasn’t cooking. I had the wine already. (I keep wine in the house. Don’t judge me) I looked in my coupon book & came across a Papa Murphy’s coupon!
Yesssssss, homemade pizza, wine & watch I Stream It All.
We have I Stream It All, a television and movie streaming service, to watch all our favorite weekly shows without the hassle of commercials or the cost of cable.
We went to Papa Murphy’s & got pizza, cheese bread & of course dessert: chocolate chip cookie dough.
Went home, popped the pizza & bread in the oven.
Turned on I Stream It All to catch up on Greenleaf, Underground & Billions.
After 19 years together, our dating takes on a different meaning & look. We do what benefits us for the day/night. So if that means picking up dinner & sitting in front of the TV enjoying our favorite shows together, than it’s a date night in.
All I really care about is being with the hubby and spending quality time together.
When it comes to date night for you & your spouse, do what’s best for y’all at the time. As long as you & your spouse is happy, I’ll say that’s a successful date!
