Marriages like anything else will encounter storms, obstacles and outright foolishness. Even the best rock solid (yes rock solid) marriages can fall prey to the divisiveness of crazy and the sad part is sometimes it’s the people you trust; friends and family.
Y’all there really isn’t a Dr. Spock book for marriages. Even with following God’s way for marriages, things happen. We are all human. Humans make mistakes. Humans will hurt those that they pledge to love.
When times get rough & it seems like all you do is argue with your spouse and/or cry, take some time to meditate and listen to some positive stuff so you can move into a better feeling and state of mind before you try to tackle unwinding the chaos that’s happening to you and in your marriage.
Stay open to working (communication, counseling) and reworking until you find a reasonable fix that meets you and your spouse needs.
I don’t want you to think your marriage is the only one that faces hard times. Nope! You are not. Even us, the Date Night fanatics, have cloudy days. One thing we know and practice is praying, open communication & RESPECT for the other one.
Look, I’m not stupid. Someone, maybe you, needed to read this today. Trouble don’t last always. Tears don’t last always. Even during the rough periods, remember the love & good times you have shared with your spouse; don’t focus on the bad times.
Comment below if you want us to pray for something specific in your marriage.
