So many couples are missing the perfect opportunity to start their day on a good note. Breakfast dates are the best. We recently got up early on a Sunday morning, to have a breakfast date at a local spot: The Garden Brunch Cafe.
Let me tell you, I researched this place and asked around and the several comments kept being repeated:
1. The food is amazing.
2. This is a black owned business
3. GET THERE BEFORE CHURCH LET OUT!
So armed with this information and also the reviews on Yelp, we were prepared to face the crowd and also enjoy some good food.
The hubby and I jumped in the car & took the 30+ minute drive to The Garden Brunch cafe. We arrived 10 minutes before the restaurant opened. There were already 5 cars in the parking lot. I got truly excited because for anyone to wait for a place to open, tells me they have enjoyed the food and the service is awesome.
The Garden Bruch cafe is located in a house that has been converted into a restaurant. So if you can picture a 2 bedroom house with a bathroom and living room, then you have just imagined The Garden Brunch cafe.
Ohhhhh, but the renovations they have done to the house to make it a cozy restaurant is amazing.
As you step in, you are greeted by a bubbly greeter. She promptly asked us how many and seated us. (Remember we were one of the first ones there) If you get there after 9am, there could be a wait to be seated.
The menu is simple but loaded with amazing food to choose from. I wanted everything on the menu. The hubby and I decided to get separate things so we can share.
The hubby got an omelet.
I got the steak and cinn-bon french toast with eggs.
Let me tell you something, we eat everything on our plates! The food was simply amazing.
Now, if you are on a budget, you may have to skip the steak and eggs. We spent over $50 but we did get mimosas, hot chocolate, and two entrees. For us, we think the price was well worth the quality and quantity of food we received.
If you are in the Nashville area, definitely plan a breakfast date to The Garden Brunch cafe. If you are not in the Nashville area, plan a breakfast date this week. Trust me, you will be happy you started your day enjoying a good meal and good convo with your spouse.
