The busiest travel season is here. Spring break is happening so you know that mean summer is right around the corner. I am looking forward to this travel season.
Whether you will travel for business or pleasure, one piece of technology you will have with you is your smartphone. We use our smartphones for more than talking, texting and tweeting. I’m one of those that can and have used my smartphone to create documents, record video and even make my grocery list (yeah I know everyone does).
So I figured since we are starting our travel season there had to be some great apps that we can use before and doing our trips.
Because I will be tweeting, sharing, posting and all that good stuff! Hey, that’s part of utilizing my smartphone to its fullest right?!
Here are the MUST HAVE apps to download that will help before, during and after your trip!
1. Babbel – A true traveler loves to know the language of the city they are visiting, whether it’s saying hello at a business meeting or asking where the restroom is while touring. You can learn 14 different languages, ranging from Spanish to Indonesian on Babbel before, during or even after a trip (when realistically most travelers learn the language.)
2. TripIt – Looking forward to your trip but not the stress of managing it? Let TripIt take care of it. This is a great organizer in making sure that every leg and aspect of your trip are plan out in one master place.
3. Hyperlapse – Up your Instagram game by sharing your memories beyond the filtered picture. This fun app is a great way to document moments and sceneries that a mere picture would not be able to do justice.
4. Localeur – Compiled from the opinions and recommendations of locals, this app lets you experience a city like a true native. Get guides on the best dive bars and underground restaurants among other activities to impress your colleagues or friends.
5. Wi-Fi Finder – The Wi-Fi Finder does just what it says, finds Wi-Fi. Perfect for the business traveler and the timely tweeter, it finds 320,000 locations in 140 countries worldwide.
I’m headed out of town for business so I’m looking forward to testing these apps.
