One thing the husband and I want to do this year is have a new and very different date night experience each month this year. We know food, movies and music are our go to date night activities; however, we do not want ALL of our dates to look and feel the same this year.
One of those millions of times I was scrolling my timeline on Facebook, I saw an event my friend was hosting. The event graphic was AMAZING and drew me in before I even knew what the event was about.
She was planning an Erotic Winter Wonderland. Listen, the word erotic part about so many emotions. Good emotions. As much as I’m preaching to couples to step outside the box and try new things, just the thought of attending an event that has the word EROTIC in the title was definitely a start to coming out the box.
The event description was so descriptive and piqued our interest even more:

The energetic and provocaative performances you will surely never forget. Indulge in poetry, body painting, erotic games, stories, music, dancing, live art, food, novelty sales and soo much more. This will be an unforgettable night that you don’t want to miss. Be Bold, Be Daring, Be Adventous and come lose yourself in our Erotic Winter Wonderland, you won’t be disappointed. This event is for the mature adult only! Get your tickets now before it sells out!!
We purchased tickets. We went to Memphis. We went to the Event.
Let me describe to you what the event was and/or how we felt during the event:
Striking
Hypnotic
Mesmerizing
Enchanting
Vibrant
Raunchy
The event was definitely for the grown open minded individual. There were no sex happening in the place so if that’s what you thinking, you are wrong.
The ambiance was perfect. The decor was white and the place was dimly lit but had enough light to be able to watch the performers.
Oh and performers. Listen, Memphis folks, there are some really talented people in Memphis. The diversity of the performers was noticeable and appreciated.
Overall for the $20 (total) we spent on tickets, from the food, the signature drinks, the engagement from the audience and the amazing hostess, our date night experience is one for the memories.
I’m glad we allowed ourselves to experience an event we normally wouldn’t have. I’m glad we understand that date night doesn’t have to be boring and only happen at a restaurant. I’m glad, we love creating new memories TOGETHER.
What creative out the box date night activity do you have planned for you and your spouse this year?
