My husband and I are of the old school when it comes to music. We love “good” music but truly enjoy seeing our favorite artists live and in person. We recently had the opportunity to see my favorite country music artist, Garth Brooks, in concert.
As you know date nights are important to us but when we are able to enjoy a night of good music, singing off key, and our favorite artist, that means the night will be PERFECT!
Look, I’ve been a Garth Brooks fan for about 25 years! I’ve never had the opportunity to see in person, so just know when the hubby said we are going, I was happy happy happy! So I went out and found the perfect fabric to make me a swing dress + I had the cutest knee high boots.
Look, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I had my husband with me and was seeing my favorite country music singer…the night was perfect.
We danced. We sang. We danced some more.
I enjoyed watching my husband be truly introduced to Garth Brooks & Tricia Yearwood. Oh let’s not even talk about me being able to sing the infamous third stanza of Friends in Low Places with Garth Brooks.
Y’all just do not understand how much fun we had that night! This was such a memorable night.
See this is what happened at date night: we sung, we ate, we danced up a storm, and of course, we sweated. Let me tell you something, I wasn’t worried about sweating at all – even in my newly made swing dress! I kept right on dancing, knowing that the hubby uses Tide PODS™ when he washes our clothes. Those little small but powerful pods laundry pacs are more concentrated than liquid and make it easy for the hubby to keep our best clothes cleaned. So I partied hard at the concert, with no worries about my clothes since Tide PODS™ are good at getting out those tough odors.
I was too excited about seeing Garth. I was hoarse by the time we left the concert! I went home on a Garth Brooks high!
That night, I realized how important it is to introduce our spouses to the things and people we enjoy. My husband wasn’t a country music listener before he met me. Had I hid that part of my life, we would have missed out on this perfect night.
It’s the small things that are the most powerful! Don’t get stuck into only using or viewing the things you are comfortable with and miss out on the opportunity to try new things.
The date night ended well. There is absolutely nothing like hearing live music with the one you love. We went out to eat afterward the concert still singing, dancing and enjoying each other’s company.
The perfect night: me + the hubby + Garth Brooks!

My husband and I LOVE to go see live music for date night. There’s nothing like live music to make you feel like teenagers again.

What a fun idea for date night! We are always looking for interesting ways to make date night more fun. I think the key is variety, do something new as often as possible, and you’ll never get bored!

Love the boots. Look at you getting hubby to do the laundry too! That’s my perfect date night! LOL! I have never tried Tide Pods. I will have to check them out.

I’m so jealous right now! I would love to see Garth in concert. It’s been a while since my boyfriend and I had a date night without the kids, but he’d never go to a country music concert.

We love live music but don’t get to get out and see it nearly as often as we’d like. Isn’t it funny, almost every time we do something happens to clothing because people always seem to be bumping into you and spilling things.

What a fun concert! I’d love to see Garth in concert and it would be a great date night.

How fun is that? We love going to see live music. It really makes the music, well, come alive! Hahaha. No seriously, there is just something so special about hearing your favourite songs performed right in front of you.

Look, my husband said the same thing: I’ll never go to a country music concert. Oh but let me tell you, he had more fun than I did LOL

Haha that’s one of the perks of my marriage. I haven’t “had” to do laundry in 19 years! lol
