I love the fact that I am allowed to write for the Still Dating My Spouse site as someone who has no kids, single, and never been married. In all honesty I am always envious of couples that I encounter during my travels as they get the opportunity to develop their own language of love through travel.
While I wonder the world alone it often crosses my mind what it would be like to share new experiences with someone special while under the influence of romance and affection. My last trip to Mexico was no exception during a recent vacation to the Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto Resort & Spa.
I had this huge room that resembled a honeymoon suite complete with a private Jacuzzi, view of the beach on one side and the mountains on the right. On that first night as I stood on my balcony, the sunset and the light from the water reflected over me as if I were being scanned then infused with positive energy— I thought to myself, “Wow this could be a moment shared with my future spouse.”
Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto Resort & Spa is located in northern Mexico, just over an hour by plane outside of Los Angeles. This last trip marked my second visit to the property and although I missed having someone to share it with as a solo traveler I would recommend it to anyone regardless if you are along, with a guest or group.
During my stay I took part in multiple activities that the resort had to offer such as a boat ride to a secluded island for lunch just off the Danzante Bay, tours of the Town of Loreto and a 100 year old church, and hiking that led to the most amazing views of Loreto.
The resort also boost its own resort side beach, 5 swimming pools, and full spa. One of the many things that stood out was the most spectacular gym I have ever seen in my life. It includes state of the art machines that face floor-to-ceiling glass views of the mountains while working out.
Friends and family often ask me is the resort all inclusive. Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto Resort & Spa offers all-inclusive packages with all you can eat and drink through the restaurants and room service (7am-11pm). There are two different types of inclusive packages with the basic which is the one I just described, and the fine dining extension with extended room service hours. For those of you that follow me on Instagram you know I am obsessed with the chocolate clams found in Loreto. I have eaten them alive, raw, baked, and grilled—- they are absolutely delicious! My other recommendations include the best Mexican food you will ever encounter, lobster, shrimp, fish, steak, brisket, ribs, and everything else under the sun. Between meals I was over indulging in margaritas, piña colada, daiquiris, tequila straight, and anything else with a high alcohol content.
What makes Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto Resort & Spa so special is the numerous opportunities and spaces to create something special. Whether you are wanting to participate in activities or be held up in your room with your spouse; you can create a lifetime’s worth of memories during your SPOUSEcation.
