Belize! Belize! Belize! We were so excited about our trip to Belize. We went to Belize via Carnival Cruise Line. I’m a history enthusiast and the hubby is an adventurist. When we are planning our vacations, we have to take into account a place that will cater to both of our travel needs. Belize definitely provided us with a fun day!
Traveling to Belize
We were on Carnival Dream again (without the family, this time) and Belize was one of the ports we were fortunate to visit. BUT……..BUT…..BUT…. no one told me that we would have to tender over. A tender boat is a small boat. Passengers get on the tender boat by walking down a makeshift plank from the cruise ship. The guides on the tender boat were so much fun and made us forget about the fact we were on a “little” boat in the middle of the ocean.

Once we arrived in Belize, we stepped off the tender boat into a shopping center! Yessss…Yessss shopping! I waited to shop until we were finished touring Belize.
Traveller’s Liquors Heritage Center
We opted to take a bus tour around Belize. The first place they said we were going was a liquor store. Now y’all know I’m all for a good bottle of wine but why would they have us going to a liquor store first, I wondered.
This was no ordinary liquor store. This liquor store had character better yet it had a museum within the liquor store. How interesting.
We were able to drink and learn about the history of the liquor and the store.
Old Belize Cucumber Beach
We spent most of the day in Old Belize at Cucumber Beach.
Touring the City
Belize is located in Central America and it is bordered to the north by Mexico, to the south and west by Guatemala and to the east by the Caribbean Sea. Belize itself is relatively small. We had the opportunity to tour New and Old Belize. We traveled on dirt roads and paved roads.

Overall, we had a great time touring Belize. It is definitely a place we would go back to and stay there for a couple of days. If you do not have Belize on your bucket list, you should.
How fun. I love to travel. I hear Carnival cruises are fun and this island is so pretty. I love hearing the history of places.
I heard that Belize has a beach for every day of the year. Sounds like such s great place to go.

Belize is definitely on my list of hopeful vacations! I love history too and an adventurous vacation definitely appeals to me too. I can’t believe their gas prices! We complain about our prices and that’s nothing comparatively! lol
I probably would have been a little nervous on the tender boat too. Much rather be on the GIANT ship with all that yummy food. Ha! It looks like you had a blast.

Oh wow, Belize sounds like a fantastic place to visit. The fact that the liquor store has a museum within it would really intrigue me, and I love the name of the beach!
