Love is in the air. Can’t you feel it?
Valentines Day is 14 days away. I’m really excited because if only for one day, the world is thinking about love and appreciating the one you are with.
So just what are your plans for Valentines Day?
For the next 3 days, I will share a few ideas to help getting you plan and think.
Today, I will share a few gift/date night ideas. Since, Valentine day is one of those days that most expect a gift, I will not be sharing the chocolates and flowers gift ideas. That is so 1980 (smile).
5 Valentine Date Night/Gift ideas:
1. Purchase some new lingerie and put on a sexy Valentine’s Day fashion show for your husband!
2. Hire a chef to cook a special dinner for u & ur love..bring out the fine china, candles,& enjoy ur romantic dinner.
3. Hire a masseuse to come over after work…set the mood w/dim lights, soft music & enjoy a couples massage at home.
4. Take a helicopter ride over the city & end with a romantic dinner at your favorite restaurant (make reservations).
5. For our deployed or long distance relationships:
Send a Valentines evening in a box.
First add candles & box of their favorite food item (nonpershiable of course.. (candle light dinner).
Then add a romantic CD….
Then add something special that would definitely put a smile on their face.
Put a decorative container/jar of Hershey’s kisses.
Last but not least, put a note and a balloon explaining how much you hate being apart on this special day and if you could spend Valentines Day together this is what they would experience on Valentine’s Day day.
So what do you have planned for your special Valentine on Valentine Day? Please share what you have planned, have gotten before for Valentines. I would love to hear!

With my owning a home based cake and candy company, chocolate is out of the question for what I receive, but I must admit making all of the cakes and hearts really put me in the spirit!
My husband knows that I love food and I had never had Lobster tails before so last year he brought some home and made it for me himself with the candles and all. It was so romantic. I love him to cook for me. He also hand makes me cards. I’m a scrapbooking person so he just teaches himself and makes whatever he can.
This year I am completely not sure. I’ve been so obsessed and excited about our anniversary in March that I think I’m skipping over it! I’ll have to think on that one and I don’t have much time!!!

The honey & I haven’t quite explored all of the MANY options surrounding us. (moved to Philadelphia a year ago). So this year we’re going to take advantage of the options. Since Valentine’s Day is on a week day, we’ll save the out and about lovin’ for the weekend & do something “creative” at the home front on the actual day:)
Oh, you listed great ideas too! Thnx again!! You’re the BOMB!!

Great list of date night ideas! We normally make dinner together and then eat by candle light. This year we live in an apartment with a fireplace so perhaps an indoor picnic by the fire is in order.

My hubby and I don’t generally celebrate much with holidays. We’re much more about the day to day thing… I never feel that I’m lacking in shows of love/affection for him, but I could use a reminder to be more loving towards him. I’m just not the type to be outwardly expressive with those things, but I am trying this year to be more consistently thankful and appreciative of the amazing hubby I have.

The first year David and I were together, he compiled this very cool CD for Valentine’s Day. Each year, we listen once again to that wonderful music and smile.

We all need to be reminded to show more love towards our spouse; you are not alone. Please stop by often to get some more reminders.
