We hope that during “Winter Storm Jonas” everyone stays safe. Oh but the amazing caveat to Winter Storm Jonas is the time (& or days) you get to spend with your spouse in the house. Ohhhhhh, I know some of you are saying, “that’s not a good thing, what can we do in the house?” Netflix and Chill is the order of the weekend.
When it’s too cold to go out and there is 12inches or more of snow covering everything the eye can see, the best thing to do is to snuggle up with your boo, get your favorite hot beverage, and watch documentaries and movies on Netflix.
We have popped us some popcorn. Saved the movies and documentaries we plan to watch on Netlflix to our list, & I’m wearing my favorite shirt of my husband. So it’s definitely a chill day for us.
We invite you to do something uninterrupted and intentional with your spouse today. We also are giving you a list of documentaries that are must watch to help you get through Storm Jonas.
5 Netflix Documentaries to Watch
Making a Murderer
We have tried twice to sit down and watch this documentary. But couldn’t. I need to get my mind right to understand what, why, and how. However, we do plan on watching it this weekend. This documentary is about a DNA exoneree who, while in the midst of exposing corruption in local law enforcement, finds himself the prime suspect in a grisly new crime. Set in America’s heartland, the series takes viewers inside a high-stakes criminal case where reputation is everything and things are never as they appear.
What Happened, Miss Simone?
This was a really good documentary. We learned so much about the Classically trained pianist, black power icon and legendary recording artist, Nina Simone. Her unapologetic approach to life, love, and equality was empowering.
High Profits
This documentary is really good. It shows just how determination and working as a team can help you build your dream empire; however, it also shows you how when you are building your empire, how the naysayers will try to stop you. The documentary is based on the true story of a young Colorado couple determined to build the world’s first marijuana empire.
Undefeated
A documentary that follows the Manassas Tigers football team, a severely underfunded and underprivileged football team — who were even hired out as a practice team for more successful schools — as they reverse their fortunes, thanks to coach Bill Courtney.
The Imposter
A documentary centered on a young Frenchman who convinces a grieving Texas family that he is their 16-year-old son who went missing for 3 years.
Thank Storm Jonas because now couples do not have an excuse for not having a date with their spouse!
