It is Hump Day and you know what that means…Its time to start thinking about our date night this week.
I wanted to do something different this week and give you guys some visual of some fun playing date night ideas.
Don’t get in a boring routine when planning your date nights. The purpose of dating our spouse is for connection, fun, and bonding. . .
Let’s think outside the box this week. No restaurant dates…No movie dates! The weather is breaking so let’s start PLAYING!
5 Playful Date Night Ideas:
- Have a water gun fight and a picnic in the park (this is also fun in your backyard).
- Go roller skating-just know you may fall down again the laughs and the quality time will be priceless.
- Fly a Frisbee. We had the pleasure of having a special Frisbee made just for us from Send a Flying Card. The Frisbee has Still Dating My Spouse on it. We had so much fun throwing the Frisbee to each other but let me tell you, you will definitely get a workout in (smile).
- Go rock climbing
- Bowling is always fun
One thing for sure, you guys will have plenty of laughs with these playful activities.
Check out our pictures when hubby and I went rock climbing. I am deadly afraid of heights but we wanted to have a “first” together so I swallowed my fear and I must say we had so much fun laughing at each other plus the friendly bet wasn’t half bad.
What are some playful activities you have wanted to do but you have not done them?
As always, we thank you for stopping by SDMS. If you find this post hopeful or interesting, please share it with your friends, family, and social media followers. Share on Twitter, Facebook, Google +, and via email.

First off, I absolutely love your blog design – beautiful! As is the concept behind the blog. I found you (through BCC) just at the right time – my husband invited me out on a date this weekend, and we haven’t decided what to do. The last date we went on was our trip to the hospital when our baby (turning 1 in a week) was born! These ideas for low/no cost reconnecting are great!

What a great post! It is so great that you are encouraging people to improve their marriage with fun. They say that challenging and doing new things together really helps relationships.

Making a space to keep dating your husband is important but so difficult. With work, kids, and all around craziness… well, lets say we don’t always makes the time. However, these are great ideas I’d love to try, I might do it this time! Thanks for sharing.

Love the bowling/rock climbing ideas! We used to do both in college when we were just friends. I think it’d bring back those flirty first moments. I’d love to take dance lessons together. May be too girly for him, but I’d love it! 🙂

Georgina,
Definitely give it a try. Start off with maybe setting aside 30 minutes of Quality time and each week increase it until you guys get to a full date night.
