I had the pleasure of attending a blogging conference, Blogalicious, this past week in Atlanta.
This conference is a premier conference for women bloggers (men attend as well). I attended the conference to get better at blogging & being a positive voice in the blogasphere; however, sitting & listening to the speakers & talking to other bloggers (and the awesome spinsors) made me reflect on the logistics of marriage/relationships.
5 Things Blogalicious taught me
- 1. Be yourself at all times– be true & authentic in your marriage. Allow your spouse to get to know YOU not the person you think they want to know.
- 2. Everyday live your [marriage] dreams– Have a vision for your marriage. Each day work toward fulfilling that vision everyday. Make sure your actions are building up instead of tearing down your marriage dreams.
- 3. It takes a strong cohesive team to build a successful marriage– Teamwork makes the dream work. In a relationship, you must be on the same page to achieve the goals set. To achieve the goals, you must communicate often & effectively.
- 4. Stop being your own worst enemy-Understand that you are not perfect, your spouse is not perfect! Mistakes will be made but it’s not the end of the world. Learn from
your decisions & do better tomorrow. Being flexible & forgiving of yourself & your spouse, allows you guys the opportunity to grow together instead of apart. - 5. Worrying doesn’t welcome abundance-Worrying & stressing robs you of the joy in your marriage. Stop worrying & start praying. There will be obstacles & hurdles in your marriage but worrying/stressing will not make the hurdles disappear. Worrying will make it harder for you and your spouse to bond & work as a team.
Blogalicious has changed my life & the way I look at my business & marriage. Marriage, just like business, is all about relationship building.
I am so happy I took the time to invest in my business but it also gave me an opportunity to access my actions in my marriage.
Thanks to all the awesome speakers & brands that shared their experienced & encouraged all in attendance to dream big & strive hard!
What have you learned from business interactions that could benefit your marriage?

I love how you’ve incorporated marriage with the conference! As an almost newlywed I always enjoy learning positive tips for a happy marriage! Worrying is my biggest issue…I’m learning to pray and let God! Working as a team has made things much easier! Thanks for the tips!

I think it is absolutely fabulous when information learned in one arena if found to be relevant in other areas of our lives!

Learning to think outside of the box works in business and in marriage. If you don’t have a lot of time to spend together, get creative! If you have a problem at work that isn’t easily solved…consider a different way to a solution. It was great to see you at Blogalicious!

Thanks for stopping by Sherelle. Worrying only causes healthy issues & can destroy marriages. Stay in touch & let me know if there is anything you would like to read about.
