Money, money money! Some of us have just enough, some have more than enough but even more of us don’t have enough money!
You know we are a big proponent for date nights and many of you have said that you don’t have regular date nights because of the lack of disposable income. Well…….
Last week on Facebook, there was a picture of a weekly monthly challenge that was floating around. When I saw it I was like ummm yeah this would be great for the couples to do. It seem easy enough and with taking on this challenge, you guys can save money for not only a special date night/activity but for anything.
We must learn how to start putting away a few dollars for emergencies and fun stuff! So we challenge you guys today to take on the 52 Week Money Challenge.
What could you do with a savings of $1,378 at the end of the year?
How about setting a goal of saving a certain amount for a specific amount of time to be able to have a wonderful date night this year?
Will you join us on this 52 Week Challenge?

I like this easy way to start saving money, a little at a time. What is good about this plan is that you start off with just a little money and add more as time goes by. It is nice because by the end, people will be saving more than $200 a month. It wil give people a way to start their savings small and keep increasing it little by little. It is a great idea.

I think that evening it out a little would be a but more realistic, but it just shows how easy it is to save up quite a bit of money. Evened out it’s $106 a month. I think that is doable for most people whether they realize it or not. Great post!

Wonderful post! It’s a lot more difficult to save up if you’re constantly thinking about it. You just gave us all a really good advice. Putting away something one day at a time makes saving very feasible. Thanks for posting this!

RiRi,
Yep we must learn how to save and if we need to chop it up into days/weeks/months then we need to do what is best for us.

We have to make saving money fun or else we might not do it! This is a great way to save up for rainy days or a hot day with the hubby!

This is such a wonderful idea. I wasn’t aware of this challenge on Facebook and I suppose it could be used for several ideas, but it’s so simple to follow that it seems almost impossible not to be able to aside something per week. My husband and I try to figure out our yearly budget early in the year. And when I introduced this to him we realized that if we followed it we would save more disposable fun date night or getaway weekend money than if we stuck to our regular plan. The fact that we also know exactly how much we will have lets us research our date ahead of time to shop for bargains and reserve the best prices. We’re going to try and use this system to budget for other things such as emergencies and Christmas gifts. I hope others take a look at this and try to incorporate it into their budgeting.

Thanks Ellen,
This would definitely help couples have a fun date night without taking money from their household responsibilities.
