Almost 90% of adults have a cellphone. Most use their phones to play games, to access their social sites but many fail to use this technology to connect with their spouse. You can do more than call your spouse throughout the day.
Ways to connect with your spouse via cellphone:
1. Texting: send your spouse a quick note to check on them or just to say hi!
2. Pictures: Connect through pictures. You see something that would put a smile on your spouse face snap a picture & send it to them. What about a picture guessing game of what your next date night will be?
3. Voice text: send your spouse a voice memo. Sometimes just hearing your voice make everything alright.
4. Couple app: really cool app that is designed for couples. You can connect with your spouse in a private environment to share pictures, text, & even video chat. Try out this app: Couple by TenthBit Inc.

5. Video: make a 30 second video & send to your spouse. You can use Vine, SocialCam, or use your camera for the video.
6. Video chat: instead of just hearing their voice see their face. You can use FaceTime or Qik.
Cellphones are so smart now that you can use them to stay close even when you are not together. Don’t miss the opportunities you have to connect, communicate, & contact your spouse throughout the day.
You will use your phone why not take a few seconds to interact with your spouse. Think outside the box & think about the best way to use this “smart” tool to enhance your marriage communication.

I never thought of cell phones as a way to connect with your spouse. To me the cell phone can be a distraction from quality time with your spouse in the form of text messages, phone calls, the need to check Facebook etc. Now when your spouse is at work or out of town cell phones are great!

Yes I do not advise being on your phone during date night or quality time; however, I firmly believe you can use the phone as a way to build the anticipation until you see your spouse.
