The first day of a new year and this is the best time to start new [positive] habits. Yesterday, I shared with you how to begin saving money with the 52 Week Money Challenge Remix, affectionately called the Anniversary Saving Plan. But what good is a saving PLAN when you haven’t changed or been taught how to change your financial [bad] habits.
This year, I vow to give resources that we as couples can use to CONNECT, COMMIT, AND BE CONSISTENT in our marriages.
One of the major agreements/disagreements in marriage is MONEY! When the money gets low, the love and commitment gets even lower. (in some marriages). The economy is causing more and more people to stretch the two pennies that they have. Its getting harder and harder to save but we all know we must have a rainy day fund.
So I wanted to help those that need help in managing their finances. Just how can you stretch those two pennies even more to take care of your family & save? I’m glad you asked. I am a member of the Bridal Tribe Tribal Wisdom Radio Network. We have partnered with Family Financial Management Practice, The Credit Woman LLC and Shabazz Management LLC to offer 3 couples the opportunity to win FINANCIAL COACHING. I am super excited about this opportunity. These financial experts have offered to coach 3 different sets of couples to get them to financial freedom and financial healing. This coaching will be intense but well worth it to get the families financially stable in 2014 and beyond.
Ok, so you want in & you want to win….Just how do you enter the giveaway! Its really simple, follow the steps below & you can enter daily. The winners will be chosen randomly using random.org.
Giveaway rules:

- In the email, list the type of coaching you would like to win.
- If you are entering for more than one coaching, send a different email for each entry.

Giveaway is open from January 1, 2014-February 28, 2014. The winners will be announced on March 1, 2014.
Don’t miss the opportunity to get professional assistance with getting the right tools & resources to get a solid financial footing in 2014. The coaching paired with the 52 Week Money Challenge Remix, you guys will be set to enjoy plenty of date nights (smile).
Which coaching session would you like to win?
I am not married but I plan to participate in the 52 week savings plan. I had a friend do it last year and I fell off. Thanks for the reminder 🙂 I totally agree that when I do get married it will be very important to be on the same page with our finances.
My husband and I rarely argue, but when we do – 90% of the time it is bout finances. Thanks for the info.
With the economy getting so tough almost everywhere these days programs like these are definitely needed. Many couple could benefit from this. It is a nice idea and I am sure you will get many responses. All the best!
My husband & I are doing this challenge. We are very different with our views on money. Not that I am not about saving but I think he is a bit extreme. He hoards it all rather than enjoying it & he works so hard for it, that I think it is a shame. Great post.
There is so much to be learned from concrete examples like that!
Great read. I love the offer for financial coaching and I wish I could avail of that. I remember my aunt who always said “When hunger walks through the door, love flies out the window.”
sounds great, sounds like a great resource!
I love that this is offering great programs that can not only help you save money, but can potentially help to save a marriage. Divorce rates are high and money is one of the main causes, unfortunately. I am grateful for a happy marriage full of communication, including about money.
Our arguements are more related to parenting and helping around the house then they are money, but I do remember the first year that we lived together – arguements were always about money and paying bills. I’m glad we worked through that!
Starting fresh with a new financial plan in the new year will definitely help those struggling financially. Sounds like a good a good option for those that need it.
This is a fantastic opportunity! It’s so hard some times to find the time to sit down and discuss things like this. Having experts on hand is fantastic!
I think its very important to keep working on your marriage and never take it for advantage.
I agree about the money issue too! The few fights the hubby and I have are always about money or our kids :/
Who ever wins the couples coaching is very lucky 🙂
And I’m sure any of us could benefit from the personal finance management session!
Great article!!!
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for the tips specific to couples – I believe it is important to work on finances together
Thank you for your advice. This topic is very important in marriage. I won’t be participating in the give away since I’m not in US.
I would probably benefit most from the 6 months of personal finance management counseling. We’re participating in the 52 week savings plan and I’m very excited about it.
That is a great giveaway for the new year, what a great way to start off. Financial issues cause so many other issues and they should not.
That;s a good opportunity for couples who wants to save money. Thanks for the share 🙂
Sounds like helpful information! My husband and I have been working the Dave Ramsey snowball plan to get our debt paid off.
We actually have our money under control finally.. my credit is down the hole, but his is really good because of work..
Getting myself in a better financially fit state is definitely on my priority list this year. Thanks for the boost.
I never had any financial problems in my marriage, ButThis would be great for couples who do
What a fantastic post to kick off 2014! I really hope couples looking for financial coaching find stumble upon this!
I think its very important that couples work on finances together. I think that if you can reduce the stress in your finances, you will be a lot happier!
I think it is so important to be open and honest with each other about money and finances. I have known a lot of people who have split up over money and it makes me sad. Combine your finances and work together.
Great post. money has always been source of a lot of problem. Financial problem sometimes leads to another problem. it’s important to find solution to it before it create more problem. Thanks for sharing this post
This is something that all couples need!
Your idea about key ideas to tweet is amazing! I am totally going to use that idea! You have a lot of good advice to give – and that giveaway is a great idea to help people better understand money. Kudos!
I think it’s a brilliant idea to have couples financial counseling. So many marriages break up because of different messages on the subject of money.
