Christmas is over. The gifts have been opened. The tree is bare but still up; however, it’s time to start thinking about New Year’s Eve and the new year. Truly, we skipped Christmas and been in New Year’s Eve mode for about a month. I cannot tell you how excited I am about our last #OneCityOneDate trip for 2015. We are headed to Miami. Yes, South Beach here we come! The hubby wanted to be in Miami for the New Year and I am making it happen for him.
So to make his trip be a memorable trip, I had my work cutout for me. See, we have never visited Miami to stay for a while. We’ve been to Miami to take a cruise but to really enjoy what the city of Miami offers, nope we haven’t stayed long enough to find out, but we will this time.
My Trip Planning to do list:
- Find a hotel on or close by South Beach
- To rent a car or not to rent a car? That is the question
- Activities: Day ad Night…what shall we get into during our time in Miami?
- New Year’s Eve: club, restaurant or beach? Or all 3?????
Normally, planning a trip isn’t as stressful to me but for some reason this Miami trip stressed me for a long time. I think it is because the husband didn’t let me know he wanted to go until October?! OC-FREAKING-TOBER!
Oh no biggie….I can plan this trip…I can plan this trip (yeah, me motivating myself)
I researched hotels after hotels and Miami has plenty of hotels to meet any budget and location wish.
We decided on a few hotels and Conrad Miami Miami definitely rose to the top. Nestled in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood and steps away from shopping, entertainment, and excitement, Conrad Miami is the perfect destination for a warm winter getaway or staycation filled with holiday cheer.
We are looking forward to the IGLOO (new this year) to watch the snowfall at Conrad Miami over the hotel’s 25th-floor lobby bar. Plus the Jack Frost Happy Hour features festive holiday cocktails and bites including the Snow Globe made with Diplomatico Rum, Cointreau, Heavy Cream & Shaved Nutmeg.
We are looking forward to attending the New Year’s Eve Soiree at Conrad Miami. Nice 5 course dinner + an opportunity to bring in the new year overlooking Miami on the 25th floor of the hotel. Hey, if we have too much fun we are in close proximity to our room to continue the festivities #winkwink
So, me being the planner that I am, I knew there would be plenty to do in Miami for New Year’s Eve but just what?
