We all know about the benefits of exercising – above all, that it’s good for us. But this isn’t always enough to get you motivated into actually doing it and sticking with your exercise schedule. If you’re looking for a little inspiration to get started and sticking with a fitness regimen what about incorporating exercises that help enhance your sex life?
Hmmm exercising will help with my health, weight and sex life!?! Oh, yeah let me get me some exercise clothes. LOL
I enjoy working out with my husband. We are able to help each other reach our fitness goals. But the plus is: we get sweaty together..so you know that means showering together afterwards.
Plus some exercises just lend itself to helping us be better in our sex life! Yep, you know it does……
Try these 4 exercises to help enhance your sex life:
Exercise #1: Leg Lunge
#FitnessDate tip: “Use your spouse to help you up and down if needed. Contract your stomach muscles as much as possible.”
Step 1: Face your partner and grasp hands. Your arms should be crossed at the wrists; your partner’s arms should not be crossed.
Step 2: Standing on one leg with the other bent behind you, slowly descend into a one-legged lunge position. Go as low as you can, keeping your bent leg off the floor. Use your partner’s counterweight to help you lower yourself down, if needed.
Step 3: Return to standing, using your partner’s help if needed. Repeat as many times as you can!with each leg.
Exercise #2: Leg Resistance
#FitnessDate tip: “Make sure you communicate your level of comfort to your spouse. Go back as far as you are capable without causing pain.”
Step 1: Lying flat on your back with arms out to the sides to steady yourself, lift your legs straight up to the ceiling. Your spouse will grab your lower leg.
Step 2: Open your legs.
Step 3: While your spouse put a little resistance on your legs, squeeze your legs back together and return to starting position. Repeat as many times as you can!
Exercise #3: Push up Remix
#FitnessDate tip: “Don’t arch your back. Tighten your abs to keep your back straight. Wives, keep your abs tight as well. Oh yeah, this is a fun exercise to do together.”
Step 1: Get into a plank push up position and have your spouse stand over you with her legs just outside your ankles.
Step 2: Now your spouse will get into a plank position on top of you.
Step 3: Now perform a push up. Repeat as many times as you can!
Exercise #4: Sit Ups
#FitnessDate tip: “This exercise is definitely sexy. Try to stay focused and complete the exercise.”
Step 1: With your partner kneeling on the ground, sit on his lap and wrap your legs tightly around his waist, crossing at the ankles to steady yourself.
Step 2: Keeping your abs tight, lower yourself back down until your lower back is resting fully on his upper thighs and your head is on the ground. Arms should be out to the side. This is the decline position.
Step 3: From the decline position, tighten your abs and perform a sit up. Repeat as many times as you can!
